Ash[The main character] is an 11-year old boy living in Pallet Town with his mother. His rival, Gary lives next door to him. Ash and his rival used to play nicely together when he is little, but lately His rival has become mean. Gary sees Ash as his rival because Ash is the same age and height. When Ash hear that Professor Oak is a Pokemon expert, he got excited because he is a curious boy.

Ash walked outside of Pallet Town in search of Pokemon when he was stopped by a voice. It's Professor Oak. Professor Oak said that there were wild Pokemon living in the grass, they might be very dangerous, only with trained Pokemon by his side, so that he could use them to fight against the wild Pokemon.

After that, Professor Oak took Ash back to his lab where Gary was waiting. Professor Oak invited Gary as he was his Grandson. Ash received Pikachu as his first Pokemon from Professor Oak.............
